Our event will begin promptly at Noon. \nJoin us and Connect with Exceptional Colleagues\nWe are excited Tina Tesch-Myers will be our September Spotlight speaker\n \nBorn in Australia to German immigrants\, Tina grew up with a deep love for nature and a big\, blended family – her twin brother Andreas\, older brother Michael\, and half-sister Claudia in Berlin. Her first calling was as a chef\, which took her across Europe and into studies in Switzerland. That journey led her to Africa for two unforgettable years. \nEventually\, Tina returned home and found peace (and passion) in Tasmania\, spending 11 years as a woodworker. But her love of human movement and healing drew her to Boulder\, Colorado\, where she trained as a Rolfer\, then later moved to Seattle to be close to the sea—her second home. \nThe biggest joy of her life? Adopting her son Joaquin from Guatemala. At just 18 months\, he chose Jeff\, her amazing husband\, to join their family—and it was the best decision he ever made. \nFor nearly three decades\, Tina has helped people feel better in their bodies—through Rolfing\, nutrition\, and now through MOVE ME\, a new adventure to clean up our oceans\, one powerful habit change at a time. \nIn her upcoming 20-minute talk\, Tina will delve into the topic of: “Cleaning the Oceans Without Leaving Home.” \nYou don’t have to live near the Beach to clean the Oceans. Just clean your habits. Every time you refill a bottle\, refuse a plastic straw\, or choose a bar of soap over a plastic one\, you are actively reducing Ocean Waste. Our event will begin promptly at Noon. \nJoin us and Connect with Exceptional Colleagues\nWe are honored Tina Tesch-Myers will be our June Spotlight speaker\n \nBorn in Australia to remarkable German parents\, Tina has two brothers\, one of whom is her twin. She pursued studies in Hotel Management and Catering in Melbourne before completing her education in Switzerland\, specifically in Arosa and Luzern. Her journey led her to North Wales\, where she managed a small hotel and restaurant in Criccieth. Subsequently\, she ventured to East Africa\, where she cooked for scientists in Sudan and Kenya. Returning to Australia\, Tina settled in Tasmania and embarked on her woodworking career under the banner of Telopea Turnings. After a decade\, she relocated to the United States to study Rolfing at the Rolf Institute in Boulder\, Colorado\, specializing in Visceral\, Cranial\, and Aston Patterning Techniques. \nFor 29 years\, Tina devoted herself to this work and her cherished clients. However\, she felt a profound inner calling to shift her life’s direction and purpose. Last year\, she launched MOVE ME\, driven by her son’s inspiration\, to combat plastic pollution in the oceans. \nIn her upcoming 20-minute talk\, Tina will delve into the topic of ‘Harmonizing Ecology and Home Enterprise: Building Sustainable Success in all Relationships.’\nTina will deliver a thought-provoking presentation exploring the interconnectedness between nurturing the planet’s ecosystem and fostering healthy home relationships\, both personally and professionally. Drawing upon principles of environmental stewardship\, Tina will offer valuable insights into creating eco-friendly environments within our bodies\, homes\, and families\, with a focus on their impact on future generations. \nTina will illustrate how the ecology of the planet mirrors our internal environment\, emphasizing the ripple effects of damaging our bodies’ ecosystems on our families\, homes\, and ultimately\, the environment.
