We are excited Janet Spangler will be our November Spotlight speaker

For more than 30 years, Janet has helped people bring their visual message into harmony with who they are. Her work includes personal color analysis, style, wardrobe planning, makeup, and preparation for life in the public eye.

A Certified Personal Coach and the creator of the COLORS made Easy Personal Palette System™, Janet combines a trained eye with a personal approach. Her aim is simple: help you discover your best and feel comfortable showing it to the world.

Janet is the founder of Image Awareness Center and a trainer at Image Awareness Academy. Her experience includes keynote speaking on The Language of Dressing, fashion modeling for Nordstrom and other retailers, radio broadcasting, and magazine photo styling. She was Mrs. Washington U.S. in 1994.

Her clients have included entrepreneurs, executives, politicians, and pageant participants, along with people simply ready to feel more like themselves.

In Janet’s 20-minute talk she will share: “Your Presence Speaks First: What Are You Communicating Before You Say a Word?”   You ARE your message. What do you want to say before you speak?

Before you ever say a word, you are communicating. Your clothing, hair, makeup, and overall appearance speak a powerful visual language. Every choice can either reinforce your message or create a disconnect between how you want to be perceived and what others actually see.

Janet Spangler will show you how it’s possible to make those choices purposeful and intentional, so that “… who you are, how you sound, and how you look work together to communicate one clear, strong, cohesive message.”

Because when you walk into a room, YOU are already the message.

Takeaways from this talk:

• Color is often the first thing people notice. As a result, it gets the credit when something looks good, and the blame when it doesn’t.

• Style Elements are actually more important than color. You can get away with the “wrong” color when the style is right for you, far more easily than you can get away with the wrong style, even when the color is good.

• Who are you? Where do you go? Who is going to be there? What messages do you want to send?

• Most of us have heard of the psychology of color. There is also a psychology of texture, print, pattern, shine, fabric, and the remaining 12 Style Elements.

• Now we bring it all together: your personal best colors and Style Elements, what’s appropriate for the occasion, the psychology of color and style, and most importantly, the messages you want to send.

• Please arrive promptly at 11:30 AM for check-in, networking, and for time to visit the Marketplace Vendors and to enjoy the delicious gluten free Marketplace Table.
• We ask that your Market Table Buffet begin at 11:40am and be completed by 11:55am, prior to the start of our meeting that starts promptly at Noon
• Our formal program runs from Noon – 2:00 PM, with post-event networking available until 2:30 PM.
