What is your profession? (be as specific as possible)
I am a real estate broker and my husband is a general contractor. We combine our businesses to help people get their homes ready to sell. When working with buyers, I work with a maximum of 2 buyers at time so I can really focus to help them find the best home possible. My husband is my secret weapon. He can help sellers figure out creative and cost-effective ways of solving problems. With buyers, he will do a no-fee consultation on a home that they are considering purchasing to answer questions about remodeling or potential repairs.
How do you describe your dream client or customer?
I love working with everyone from first-time home buyers to last-time home sellers. I have specialized services for seniors and a concierge service, where a seller can move out what they want to keep and we will take care of the rest, including cleaning out the fridge and doing the dirty dishes! This is also a great service when a person passes away and the estate need the house cleaned out and sold. In one of my commercials, I talk about the 7 D’s – these are the people who are selling a home right now.
- Death (we specialize in making estate sales easier for the family)
- Divorce (we are a neutral 3rd party and can handle things in a professional manner)
- Debt (they need to sell to pay off bills)
- Diapers (new baby = additional space needed)
- Departing the area (usually for work or retirement)
- Downsizing (moving into a smaller space or retirement living)
- Diamonds (combining two households)
- Disability or Illness (moving from a 2 story home into a one story)
When members do a search, what specific key words or phrases would lead to you?
Buying or selling a home, remodeling a home, help with downsizing
Do you have an offer or discount specifically for Exceptional Connection members? (If so, what?)
For sellers, I have a pricing schedule for listings based on the property price and services needed. For buyers, my fee is 2.5% and is usually covered by the seller.
If any, what are your geographic restrictions to your products/services/offers? What do you consider your sales territory?
Snohomish County is my main area of business, but I will go where needed in the Pacific Northwest. I have sold as far north as Sedro-Wooley and Burlington, south to Federal Way and Olympia, and West to Shelton and Bremerton. This often comes into play when people are looking for something affordable. We may start out looking in Marysville and end up in Bremerton.

My book is available on Amazon:
Six-Word Lessons on Selling Your Home in Seattle: 100 Lessons to Maximize the Results of Your SaleWhat are you passionate about?
Negotiating! I know it may sound strange, but I really do love to negotiate and get the best price and terms for my clients. I am also passionate about the process and making sure we minimize the bumps in the road during the transaction. I have a checklist that has over 250 items that we track during the transaction to minimize potential issues.
What are your hobbies or outside interests?
We enjoy weekend trips around the PNW and regularly visiting our daughter and grandchildren in Oregon. We’ve been live-aboard in the Everett Marina for 10 years, currently on a 48’ trawler-style motor yacht. We enjoy boating and the water. I also love to read (usually 2-3 books per week) and also enjoy crochet, art and other crafts.
Are you involved in any charity or community service that you want others to be aware of?
I support a girls’ high school in Kenya. I firmly believe that education is one of the best ways to help lift people out of poverty. I also support local charities like Clothes for Kids and the NOW scholarship program.
Is there anything else about you, or your business you would like to share?
I have over 12 years in residential and commercial real estate sales and three years in commercial property management. My background is in accounting, hard-money (non-traditional) mortgages and construction, which gives me unique insights that help me stand out in a very crowded field of realtors.
I Love Exceptional Connections because…
“Cyndi is a master at creating and maintaining community, and that’s what we have here – a real community. I love getting to know everyone and how I can support their businesses by referring others who need their products and services. I’d love to schedule a coffee appointment with you and get to know you better!”
